[from the back cover] Lowell, a single father, is haunted by the memory of a hijacked transatlantic flight on which his mother was killed when he was a teenager. Samantha, one of the children released from the plane before the hostages were killed, tries to pull Lowell into her obsessive search for the truth abouth Air France 64. ...is a tightly woven web of familial and national histories, of sexual and political passions and complicities in the age of terrorism.

Once again, Ms. Hospital delivers a dark, thriller full of memorable characters. Her stories ring as true as the headlines. They are fleshed out without being leaden with too much detail to slow the pacing. Quite a balanacing act for tight rope suspense.
