I read this years ago and I know I have my own copy somewhere because I would never give it away. A truly moving story how a deaf African-American is wrongly imprisoned for a murder. Because he is deaf, he has no defense...as I recall, his signing skills were also limited. Now I want to look for my book so I can share it with my daughter! It is truly an excellent book and so heartbreaking!
