Ingredients
  • 1 can - Fruit filling for Pie - any flavor
  • 1 box - Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 can - Crushed Pineapple with juice
  • 1 stick - butter - not margerine - cold
  • 1 package - chopped nut topping OPTIONAL
Directions

using a cake pan - I prefer a 9x9 pampered chef pan dump in the pineapple and pie filling

dump the box of cake mix on top of the fruit - spread evenly to edges of the pan

slice the butter and top the cake mix

sprinkle nut topping over the butter (optional)

bake in a 350 degree oven for 55-60 minutes until the top is golden brown

 

 


Notes

My favorite is raspberry - my Dad loves blueberry.  I have also tried cherry, apple, blackberry, strawberry and strawberry rubarb

This dessert is a HUGE favorite and easy to make and server.  Add vanilla ice cream on top for an extra treat.
