Has anyone read any of these books?  I bought the first two and started on them this weekend.  I'm hooked!

I've never heard of them.  What are they about?

I love them.  I haven't read Vampire Rising yet but the others were good.  I also like the  Age of Fire series.  oh and brenda they are about a post apocalyptic world where humans are no longer the top of the food chain.  David Valentine, is an elite soldier humans have become prey to turncoat humans, genetically created monsters called grogs, the menacing, vampiric Reapers and the alien Kurian masters. Humans live in fear and a group of soldiers fight the Reapers in a rebellion.

.

The Way of the Wolf: Part I of Vampire Earth
This volume introduces David Valentine. We learn his history as he is recruited into the Ozark Free Territory, rising in Southern Command to become a Wolf.

The Choice of the Cat: Part II of Vampire Earth --read Chapter One
David Valentine becomes one of the spy/saboteurs of the mysterious Cat Caste of the Hunters, following the trail of the Twisted Cross and its bloody-handed General across the Great Plains Gulag.

The Tale of the Thunderbolt: Part III of Vampire Earth
Valentine, playing the role of a Quisling, ventures into the Caribbean in search of a new weapon against the Kur.

Valentine's Rising: Part IV of Vampire Earth
Valentine makes a desperate attempt to liberate the Ozarks from Kurian occupation.

Valentine's Exile: Part V of Vampire Earth
While searching for an injured comrade's wife lost to the Kurian Zone, Valentine loses both reputation and friends and makes a terrible discovery.

I bought three of them this weekend.  I read the first one and I'm about 1/2 through the second one.

Hayley, I haven't read any in the Age of Fire series, but you liked them?  I'll have to try them too.

Those sound pretty good.  I'll have to check them out.  Most of the paranormal I've been reading I get from the library, and then if I find I love a series, I'll wishlist it here.
