This approach was developed by Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater through their books entitled, The Christian History of the Constitution and Teaching and Learning America's Christian History. We have chosen to use a somewhat simplified version of the Principle Approach in presenting the material for this level and suggest the use of America's Providential History by Mark Beiles and Stephen McDowell. We have introduced the First Five Principles of the Principle Approach in this study. These are included at the back of the study guide. This course is designed to incorporate a simple notebook approach. Each student uses the notebook to record reports, student maps, Scripture verses, illustrations, principles, and so on.
