A worthwhile read for a look back at what shaped our state from a different prespective. A lot of work went into this book which was written in 1956. Much of it would have been lost had it been done today in 2011. Lots of black and white photos and plenty of side-stories and historical or important people. Homes are grouped by regions of the State. Many are still standing after 100 years can be visited today. Of course, some are still occupied.
