I purchased this as a gift for a friend who said she was just learning to crochet with beads. I had mentioned seeing it on PBS, and asked me to find out about it. It really is great for beginners! I have made a few basic stitch afghans over the years, and this book shows clearly how to do the stitches and how to incorporate beads. There are some very cute items to make, from coasters to purses to scarves and sweaters. My friend loves this book. I hope someday I get a curly scarf with bead accents.
