I like this book even though it's oldish. I like browsing through it to find quickie decorating ideas that don't cost much and give the house a different look. For instance plants and flowers look great in odds and ends of containers that you can find in your kitchen or garage. On page 84 there's a terrific idea for a window treatment using seashells and white ribbon. Takes an hour or so. There are many ways shown to display your collections such as pretty plates or pottery. The authors also demonstrate how to create a "focal" point for your rooms that can be done with any style of furniture or décor. From bathrooms to bedrooms to living rooms, they've got some special ideas or tricks that will help perk up your home. Just looking at the pictures is fun!
