Ok-- I'm 40 and love this series! My husband had read it too. It is written from Bella's perspective- what's she's thinking, and etc-- I won't give anything away except I recommend this series. It's a fast page-turner and a very good plot.
P.S-- I was for team Edward........

Why I liked it...

This book was much, much better than book two in this saga. It was almost as if a different person stepped in and help write this book. The stories flowed together better. Everything made sense. More complex situations call for more complex solutions that were well carried out for a teen read. I loved the developed realtionship between Bella, Edward and Jacob. Alice is a wonderful, light hearted character that was necessary to make this novel work. The emotional rollar coaster in this book is worth the read. Lots of action, lots of drama. I loved how this book finally tied the stories together from the first two. I look back and think that they should have all been published as one giant novel with a lot of editing from the second saga.

With the love triangle that has developed, I am eagarly anticipating the bitter outcome in the next volume.

Would I read this again? Yes probably.
Why I didn't like it...

Sadly, this book I don't think could totally stand on it's own. If I knew nothing of the other two and picked this one up first to read I would definately be a bit lost in the story and lose some of those important emotional ties between characters. These books are their own world. Like Tolken's Lord of the Rings (a fantasy world so believable to the reader because of well developed characters and backgrounds), this is on the edge of being something big, but it doesn't quite make it. Eclipse is the closest it's come and I look forward to seeing this one tranlated to the silver screen.

This was a bit more sad. Spoiler review: I guess I despised the fickleness of Bella towards the end of the book. . .She was far too crazy for Edward to suddenly get to the feelings for Jacob. . which thankfully she realized her feelings weren't as strong for him. I loved Jacob last book but less in this one. He became a nuisance. I actually learned to like Edward for once in this. I will say that I cracked up in laughter while reading some of this book. The way the narraration changed to Jacob in the last chapter confused me at first. He made it seem a little absurd that he'd tell Bella about how she only kissed ONE person and needed to test it out. . while he didn't even test out kissing someone else himself. He is only 16 or 17 at the end of the book. . his life isn't over for having a chance of love, so that just made me a little disappointed. Other than that this was a great book, but I loved New Moon best so far. I admit this one stirred up crazy emotion in me though.

MY personal FAVORITE of this series! The movie didn't TOUCH it in my opinion. The interactions between Edward and Jacob are perfection and the "Tent scene" is priceless!

The least favorite of the 4 books. Bella gets on my nerves. She has been through so much already but she seems to be going backwards in the maturity department. She has to pick between Jacob and Edward while dealing with the paranormal enemies. The book has suspense and keeps you guessing. Written in Bella's perspective, she wants Edward when she is with him, and then Jake when she is with him. (I have to admit I am a team edward person so her feelings for Jake was strike on her character)

Liked the book, but my favorite in the series is still the first.

This book was excellent! I couldn't put it down! As a fan (not a "twi-hard") of the first 2 Twilight movies, I decided to read the book before I watched the 3rd. It went beyond my expectations. It is not just for teenage readers, as many people think, and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It is definitely one of my top 5 books I've read.

The story of Bella Swann continues in this third book. After Edward returns at the end of New Moon, things seem to be complete for her. If only her werewolf best friend, Jacob, and her vampire boyfriend, Edward, could get along. Their dislike for each other goes back to the rivalry between werewolves and vampires. Edward wants to be with Bella, but doesn't want her to be friends with Jake. Jacob can't understand why she loves a vampire. When Bella's life is in danger, they work together to keep her safe.

I can't decide whether this was my least favorite (or new Moon) in the series. Her indecision was annoying. Edward's demands were inappropriate. Jake was just immature so much of the time. I can't see why she would like either of them.

By far my least favorite book of the series. I'm not sure why exactly. It just kind of dragged a bit here and there. I still loved it and finished it within a day. Just wasn't my favorite.

I love how in this book, even though you know in the end Bella and Edward will still be together, you can't put it down thinking you might miss what happens, and you almost doubt in your mind that it'll end up okay just because she writes so amazingly, where you aren't automatically guessing what happens. And it's realistic enough that someone could die, like she isn't trying to make it too "happily ever after".
Their love for each other makes you want to go out and find the person that makes you feel that way. Great book!

I am in love with this series- TOTALLY. I can't wait, one week to go for the release of Breaking Dawn. I can see her writing Bella's first year as a vampire, her marriage and so much more. Stephenie Meyer is an incredible writer who weaves an epic story with characters that you know so intimately. What more can I say?

Hate every ounce of it. An interesting enough plot, and really well written. It stinks because I ended up hating Bella. If you hate the main character of a story, and only read it to check on how the underdog (literally) is doing,it starts to get boring. And depressing. I would rant more, but I dont want to give away the end.

Come on already... teenager drama. Good book, but could have been a lot shorter.
