I just started the first book in this series and I'm wondering if the reason she's working these off-the-books jobs is ever revealed or if it's hanging over our heads the entire series? this one mentions the courts tracking her down and an exhusband finding her. I'm wondering because I don't like stalking and running from the law kind of stuff though I'm finding the book interesting...just sorta wanting to know what to expect and I don't mind spoilers! well, at least not 'in general'!

Susanna,  you do find out why she's working off of the books....she's avoiding paying spousal support to her bum of an ex-husband.  It's been mentioned in all of the her books that I've read so far, so it's not really a spoiler  : )
