I read this book hoping to learn more about dysgraphia and I did. The book is written by a boy, Eli, who struggled with dysgraphia and dyslexia and it describes his grade school experiences dealing with these issues. The book also includes input from Eli's mother.

The narrative portion of the book was interesting to read and really helped me see things from the student's point of view. The books also includes commentary sections on the issues of attention, language, magical thinking, and demystification. Additional commentary sections include Compensatory Tecniques, Instructional Strategies, Memory, Teacher Understanding, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia.

Overall, this was a quick read that contained good information from a unique point of view. Certainly much more enjoyable to read than the more formal "textbook" type material on this subject - even if it may not be as comprehensive.

Highly recommend to parents (and students) dealing with issues of dysgraphia & dyslexia.
