A quick easy read but still fun. This mermaid reminds me so much of Ariel and even some of the choices are the same and the story can even seem a bit same in parts (like Ariel's choice between her mermaid father or her human mother...which you'll ready about in the story) but it's still just a fun, easy to read book. I cannot wait until the next one. Great for any mermaid lover especially a fan of disney's mermaid.

I've read four of the Emily Windsnap books. They are charming and fun to read. For an adult, they can be read in a few hours. They are wholesome so a parent can trust them with their child. Her adventures leave you worried for a while, but all works out in the end and family always prevails. Charming books. This one is the best of all that I've read, however, it is an unusual story line that leaves a bit of mystery. Really good plot.

A wonderful and creative children's story. My daughter discovered these books around age 8 and still enjoys re-reading the series.
