The third and looks like last in a series. Pretty good characters, good imagery, and decent pacing but the dialogue can be a little clunky. I like Iris, she's very relatable although I feel her actions don't always make sense. I really like the setting, and Littlewood definitely knows her zoo stuff. I put off reading this for a while, because the plight of trafficked animals is horrific and I didn't want to be sad, but I felt the author did a good job outlining the problem without overwhelming the reader. I didn't really buy into the end scenario, either, I felt it was unnecessarily complicated. However, overall I liked all 3 of the series; don't know if I'll ever read them again but I might, so they will stay on my bookshelves for now.
