This was an interesting book, well worth reading. I was a little surprised that it was not up to the skill level of Ms. Parra's other series about the gluten-free baker in Kansas. This seemed to be a bit more amateurish, less polished. It also leaned a bit toward the romance genre while staying firmly in the cozy mystery camp.
I'll read the second one in the series for sure. It's light, a bit funny here and there, and easy to read.

I truly enjoyed this cozy mystery! There was humor, adventure, suspense, family togetherness and just plain fun! Read it in less than a day and was well worth the read! It was fun watching a "party planner" make it on her own!
