Hello!

I am needing an English grammar something for my oldest son this fall. I added a few options to my wishlist, but really want to try to find something right away since somehow this was overlooked. I did look some, but did not find what I was looking for. If you have something posted that you think would work for us, please tell me a little about it. He really needs some help with the punctuation type stuff, not as much with parts of speech type stuff.

Thank you!

Have you seen this site? You might find it helpful. You can pick and choose which lessons to print based on what your son is struggling with. I hope this helps while you're looking for a book.

I've not used any of it yet, but have obtained several Abeka titles from here.

What a great resource, Michelle. Thanks for posting.

I have passed this information on to a school that I do volunteer work for. It is an alternative school for teenage girls, some of which have fallen behind by several grades. They are always looking for things like this to help the girls to get back up to their grade level and beyond.

I have some of the lifepacs for Alpha Omega's Language Arts which includes grammar.... Lifepacs have 10 workbooks and a teacher guide to make a whole set for the whole year, but you can pick and choose what you cover. Take a peek at my bookshelf to see the titles, but:

I have some for 8th grade (books 5-10)

I have some for 7th grade (books 5, 6 & 9)

These do not have the answer key (which you may or may not need) but they might be available here or elsewhere. You can get the teacher guides on Amazon, ebay, here, etc. as well as sometimes the lifepacs (workbooks) .   You can also see more details at the Alpha Omega website:

http://www.aop.com/

Hope it helps

PS - I have a 2 for 1 deal on my bookshelf for the Alpha Omega things, so you could get these pretty cheaply

(if you want either, I would throw the odd one in so 8th grade books I have for 2 credits or 7th grade for 1
