Another great love story by Maya Banks! This one was a bit different. I was so mad at Rafael when we discovered how conniving & ruthless he was before the accident, but he redeemed himself in the end. Great ending for Rafael, Bryony & baby!

Rafael doesn't remember Bryony, because on his flight back to New York, the plane crashes and he suffers a head injury. he suffered from amnesia, but over time, he pretty much remembers everything except the 4 week period he spent with Bryony. Bryony is worried that he used her to get his hands on her land. Rafael tries to come to grips with a woman claiming he's the father of her unborn child and that he would ever purchase land with the promise not to develop it. With so many underlying problems, mistrusts, and tension, this should have been a much better read than it was. It just didn't deliver. There seemed to be absolutely no chemistry between the h and H, and the storyline promised a firework display of emotions without actually delivering. Add to that that so much of the dialogue appeared choppy, disjointed and puerile and this book just didn't do it for me.
