Being a fan of Edgar Allen Poe, I figured a crime novel centered around him would be unusual and novel. I really disliked this book as the author went off in various directions that left me wondering how in the world we got there! Whereas there were two different story-lines going on, it should have been easy to follow them, but I found it to be more irritating than enjoyable. The ending was also farfetched. I don't believe I'll be bothering with this author again.
