Clare has finally come to terms with her ex-husband Matteo marrying, but she still wishes it wasn't to someone as horrible as Breanne Summour's. But when a look alike dancer is killed leaving Matt's bachelor party, Clare knows that the true victim was supposed to be Breanne herself and it is up to Clare to convince the NYPD and Breanne herself that there is true danger out there.

When no one really wants to believe Clare, she turns to the very hot Mike Quinn and with the help of the fish squad, a very curious case of who and why reveals the killer and the motive.

Though this book does seem to get off the main point frequently, it still follows the basic formula that keeps the Coffeehouse Mysteries moving forward. Breanne becomes a little more human, if that is possible, and Clare doesn't come across as the usual neurotic that she has been portrayed as in the past. I saw real growth in Clare's character and I hope that the writing team of Cleo Coyle will build on this new strength in Clare.

Another solid entry in the coffeehouse mystery series, the mystery itself was well done, but the bigger interest for series readers will be the personal relationships of the characters. The book ended somewhat unexpectedly with all interpersonal conflicts seemingly resolved and a kind of happily ever after ending. If I didn't know there was another book in the works, I would think that this was the series end. It leaves me wondering where the next book will go.

I love reading books from this series about the Village Blend Coffeehouse and Claire Cosi. This one was about the Breanne Summour who is her ex-husband's fiance and the wedding preparations. Someone is trying to kill Breanne and it is up to Claire to solve it. I loved reading this one and each book has some small tidbits about coffee and its storage and care.

Clare has been given the task of providing the coffee bar at her ex-husband, Matteo's wedding to Brianne Summour. Brianne is the owner of the magazine, Trend, and is Rich and beautiful. She is also, in my mind, a very unlikable, snob, whom someone is trying to kill. Throughout the book, I actually found myself hoping she would get offed. Of course, I can't say if she did or not. Anyway, Clare is on the case.

Another great book of the Coffeehouse series; easy going, mellow book, keeps your interest. Romance, murder, detective work with coffee thrown in. Cosi no longer has to choose between her ex-husband and the new flame.....

Manager and head barista of the bustling New York coffeehouse The Village Blend, Clare Cosi's been hired to create a gourmet coffee and dessert bar for a swanky wedding. Clare should be thrilled at this chance to shine, but it's Matteo Allegro, her ex-husband and current business partner, who's tying the knotâ"to Trend magazine editor Breanne Summour, who's in full-blown bridezilla mode. Claire's got to put her misgivings aside and focus on business, but since she's a successful amateur sleuth, murder is Clare's business, too. And when fatal accidents begin befalling people close to Breanne, Clare becomes suspicious. But what she unveils, amid melted chocolate and steaming mochaccinos, may just get her burned...
