I really liked this book because it works through each system of the body that is essential for maximum performance of the horse. For example, it describes the respiratory system in great detail, explaining which organs are involved in breathing and what happens when the system is impaired. It also discusses why blood is important in the training of a horse. There are so many details and case studies that they cannot all be discussed. This is a great book for the intermediate to advanced rider. A beginner may not understand all of the terms and definitions.
