Donnie writes his personal story without gory details. It's a moving story and it repeats itself many times over impoverished America, but it doesn't have to be helpless like he demonstrates. With Jesus all things are possible: forgiveness and restoration. I specially like how he shows that homosexuality is a choice and not a condition you are born with. He says it clearly in the book: "if you are not satisfied with the lifestyle and want out there is hope for you." The book is an easy read and you will find yourself turning one page after the other to find out how this awesome gospel singer went from victim to victor.
