This book is in conjunction with the Writing Strands series and is very useful in identifying and strengthening the writing process. Since this is geared for the homeschooling family, the book incorporates writing processes from grades 2 through 8. It also helps the parent (and child) identify and correct common writing problems, whether these problems are in spelling, usage, or syntax.

This book and all of the books in the Writing Strands Series has been a great help to me as a homeschool mom with little experience in this area. My daughther is a natural writer and this program gives her both freedom of expression and the guidelines that she needs for every genre of writing. The program is not overwhelming for either of us.
