I waited months to get this book. I have mixed feelings now that I've read it. The book has four main characters. One couple is a 49 year old policeman who falls in love with his fraternity brother's mother, who is 10 years older than he is. The second couple is the 59-year old woman's son and the mother's next-door neighbor who no longer believes in love. Both stories could easily have stood alone and instead of having such a long book, the author could have written Not Even if You Begged with a sequel.
