Ann Jones's books are hard to find. Jones wrote Women Who Kill, a very well respected book, well researched piece of work. This book deals with Bernadette Powell who was beaten, scalded and thrown down stairs by her husband before she finally shot and killed him. Not just a courtroom drama but an examination of race, sex, class in the judicial system. Back cover has endorsements from women's movement leaders.
