I know that there has been a lot of work going on here at PBS in the last few days.  Does anyone else have huge type everywhere?  My screen looks like the fonts all ate an extra bowl of Wheaties.  Which means that each line is huge and it is almost impossible for me to naviate the site.  I did manage to check that I would mail a book, but I can't tell if the other wishlist book I posted last night is still around.

If my problem is my 5 year old, how do I make my font small again?  DH is super stressed and really doesn't need a call about font size today.

Help!

On your browser go to view then text size. You will be able to change it from there. I had the opposite problem when the tech guy installed my DSL. Everything was tiny. Thanks to Amber for teaching me the trick.

Thank you!!!  This was the reason we got the kid his own computer in the first place.  2 years ago (yes, he was 3), he did something to my computer that took DH, the IT tech, 3 hours to fix.  He's usually pretty good about leaving my computer alone, but he's annoyed with me for waking him up at 6:30 every morning this week.  Kindergarten starts next week and I'm trying to prepare him.

You can also change the text size by holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard and turning the scroll wheel on your mouse.  Lots of people inadvertently do that and then wonder why their text is so big!

My kids have to be at school no later than 7:45 am starting next week, so yeah, 6:30 is when they need to be up too.  Which means I need to be up before that if I want to shower and pack their lunches.  Sigh....bye-bye, lazy summer days.

Yeah, we have to be in the building at 7:50am.  But when you factor in DS being a night person, you realize that you need to get him up an hour before you have to be anywhere, and you still might be dressing him in the parking lot.  It only takes 7 minutes to get to school, but this is REAL school, so there are tardies and absences and not being allowed to pass to the next grade to factor in.

The worst part for me is that I'm the most on time parent in the class.  And, over the summer, I got a little laid back, some times rolling into camp 20 minutes late (and still being earlier than everyone else).  It was funny at Parent Night last night, the director singled out the 3 kindy families there just to gently remind us that the kids have to be on time.  Then the teacher sent home a note on the tardy policy that needs to come back the first day of school signed.  I'm going to be seeing a lot more of the dads at drop off this year.  :)
