This introduction to Catholic Christian faith & practice is popular for non-Catholic inquirers, adult RCIA classes, and Catholics who want to understand their faith better. Originally published in 1965 and updated a bit in 1995, the book contains three sections of short chapters on Creed (what Catholics believe), Commandments (how Catholics should act), and Sacraments & Prayer (how Catholics worship).

Though some of its theological points are sophisticated, the book itself is simple and easy for adults to read and understand.

For a book over 470 pages long, it's remarkably compact and handy: less than an inch thick and not much bigger than a mass market paperback.

All chapters are cross-referenced with Baltimore Catechism #3, for those who are interested, and the book contains its own good subject index.
