Patricia Hickman never disappoints me. This is the first in a trilogy. It was so good that I can't wait to read the third. I read the 2nd first as I didn't know it was a trilogy. Such a compelling read--great story line, good characters and best of all, showing once again how God can do anything.

A very sweet story set during the Great Depression in Arkansas ... about a bad guy who turns good - helps others, grows up a bit, falls in love.... Great series!

I requested this book for my mother. She had already read Fallen Angles from the church library and wanted to have a copy of each of the four books in this series to keep so she could reread and share. She enjoyed the story very much as she grew up during the time referenced in the story. After reading the first two of the books, she was anxious to find out what happened to the characters as the story continued. Paper Back Swap is such a wonderful place to find books you want. I have found many books available on PBS to complete a series I was reading - and without searching through dusty bookshelves.
