This book contained too much about the politics of running a rescue organization and not enough about actual rescues for my tastes. Endless pages about board meetings and conflicts with the Sheriff's dept are not "life and death drama" in my opinion.

The actual rescues were very interesting and I would have enjoyed the book a lot more if it had been filled with that type of content.

I did not care for this book. It was too much about the author and not enough about the rescues that took place. Much too much detail.
