There's substance to this book. For not approving of much chick lit, this one was actually pretty good.

You got the ex-wife, the new wife, and the husband. Nobody's a hero, nobody's a bad guy---it's just life, and they are all trying to work it out the best they can. O'Flanagan makes it easy to slip into each character's skin and understand Gemma's feelings about David re-marrying, though she's the one who dumped him. And Orla's insecurities when Gemma seems to be "past perfect". And even David, who marries Orla because she is so different from Gemma, but then he tries to turn her into his former wife. It's not all "sturm and drang" though, and I really enjoyed it.
