My Fashionable Demise*

This
tattered old thing?

I'll never miss it.
I hope
for something
more exquisite.

*I've come to the conclusion this poem is a little too obscure.
The theme is death and resurrection. The tattered old thing is my aged anatomy.

Short and sweet. I would not have assumed that you were talking about your body but I think we can all relate to the sentiment. Reminds me a bit of Dorothy Parker.
