OK book except its looses it's point every so often

I loved reading the journey this father took with his disabled son. This author did not hold back on expressing what he was feeling at any given moment, and his emotions certainly ran the gamut. I've never heard a parent be so candid and raw about how they were feeling about their own child. Some might criticize this man for being self-pitying some of the time, but the honesty in his writing is so heart-wrenching that you can forgive him for feeling bad once in awhile.
