One of my favorites is bread pudding. Since the temps here finally cooled down a bit, I am anxious to fire up the oven and bake some comfort food.  I'll dig out my recipe tomorrow and post if anyone is interested.

I just had a squash dish I loved, but I don't have the recipe.   It was made with the small squash (like Delicata), sliced in rings, with some sort of maple syrup coating and pecans.  Anyone?

I made a lovely beef stew last night

I lb of cubed beef

2 large cans tomato sauce

6 red potatoes, peeled and cubed

1 cup whole baby carrots

1 can corn

2 cans green beans

season and brown the beef in a large pot. add the tomato sauce, carrots and potatoes. allow to simmer for about an hour stirring frequently. After the hour, add the green beans and corn. simmer for another 1/2 hour.

serve over crusty, buttered bread.
