Who are your favorite true crime writers? Mine is Ann Rule.

I'm an Ann Rule fan too, even though it seems her earlier stuff was better written. She was the one that got me into true crime.  As a person, i really respect her as well, from what i've read about her on her website,etc.. She seems genuinely concerned and affected by the people she writes about.

I would have to go with Carlton Smith amd Gregg Olson, But I also like Robert Graysmith.
