FINISHED -

  1. "THE SLIPPER" by Jennifer Wilde (A++++) Once upon a time There were three young women who dreamed of glittering, magical lives, of living with Prince Charming happily ever after. Yet even they could never have guessed how magnificently their prayers would be answered-and the prices they would pay for having their fantasies fulfilled. Nora Levin a saucy, wisecracking girl from Brooklyn, she went to college in the Midwest full of her dreams to write. After a stint in the fast-paced world of New York publishing, she got her wish. But a blockbuster novel could not take the place of love. Carol Martin cool and elegant, she was the quintessential blonde beauty who wants more than anything to be a movie star. Little did she know what it would take to see her name in lights. Julie Hammond she was the most gifted of the three, a luminescent actress who was transformed from a shy, self-effacing girl to a dynamic performer on the stage. But though she loved to act, she loved her husband even more - and would give up everything for him.
