How about Rita Lakin and "Getting Old Is....." series; there's also Carroll Lachnit  - an ex policewoman, now lawyer in CA; Wendi Lee - an ex-marine female PI in Boston with a huge extended family; Janet Laurence - lots of food here!; Janice Law - a woman security firm owner in DC; Virginia Lanier - heroine is a prize bloodhound raiser in the Okefenokee swamp area of GA: Barbara Lee - a woman real estate agent in the Chesapeake Bay area. Hope some of these may "ring a bell" for the "L" writer you're looking for.    M'ann

Could it be Victoria Laurie who writes the Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye mystery series?

Here's a link to 'L's at www.stopyourekillingme.com/L_Authors/L_Authors.html

Oh my..I just looked down the list of  L mystery authors  starts with LaPlante and Lacey  and ends with  Lynds and Lyon.

Perhaps if we knew what sort of mystery - cozy- humorous-paranormal- police procedural- or the more graphic

Thanks for the help.........i have plenty to choose from......now for what?  maybe a game next year......A-Z authors but for a specific genre????  That would be more challenging........think the L would be easy
