Impossible romances, especially those with an inherent sacrifice involved, hold an undeniable appeal, even though they
bring tears to your eyes. Lana and Keegan's story is such a tale. This is fast paced and interesting.

The characters are good and exciting. Luckily, this novel is not completely character driven, there is also an interesting
and complex plot to keep you reading. The kingdom of the Fae is in an upheaval. Lana is needed to complete her destiny
as a living sword spirit to save the day, and different factions of the magical world are trying to keep her from her doing so.
If she fulfills her destiny, any future with Rain is impossible. If she does not become the sword spirit of Valor, the world
of the Fae will be destroyed, and Rain along with it. Problems abound, and the solutions/sacrifices are not comfortable,
just necessary.

One warning. The road to the ending is harsh (the Fae are not nice people), a touch sad, but ultimately satisfying.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was rich with description, but that only added to the story. I was amazed at how the character's development and their relationship progressed at just the right pace. I wasn't sure in the first 10 to 20 pages that I would care for the writing style, but as you get more engrossed in the story, the style enhances the story. I recommend this if you like fey romances, heroic quests and are looking for something different.

Fey born is a wonderfully epic fantasy romance. It is well written and the depth of knowledge in this novel is outstanding. The mythology of Ireland is magically brought to life in a passionate tale of adventure, love, and courage.

Another winner in R. Garland Gray 's Faery Faith series. I hope she continues to write more books in this series. I loved the story and the characters were wonderful and once again well developed. Keeegan and Lana had to go through a lot to get there happy ending but their adventure was well worth it.:-)
