wow- this is the best book i have read i quite some time. drama, mystery, intrigue, sick puppies, social foibles, romance, sex (some of it icky), drugs, teenage angst, social climbing, vast wealth: this book has it all! extremely well written. intense plot.

fun, light, but not shallow. cross section/parody of the affluent suburb circa the late 70s, as told by a 15 year old.
