What a great addition to this series. My only complaint was that the sex scenes, were all steamy and the earth moved and really vague about why she was molten lava, and ribbons of heat. Oh gawd! I actually found the sex scenes dull, confusing, pointless. It was more fun when she was just frisking him. I got a feeling that the author was just making the sex scenes so unbelievably mind blowing and earth moving so we humans could barely comprehend the erotic skills you have if you are supernatural.

Oh but good story, I think the plot, and story line, all the characters were so much more likable. I liked that we gained new info on Charleys abilities, and limits.

I need book 6 RIGHT NOW!!! I loved the ending, but saw it coming.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon an ARC of this book before its release date. I might be Charley and Reyes' number one fan and this book only solidified that position for me. Well written quirky characters, a hint that someone might recognize Mr. Wong and a great ending add to a guarantee that I will be waiting in line for book six.

Darynda has done it again. God, I love her sense of humor. And, damn, this book was hot.
We've been left with big questions at the end of this book, the kind that makes book six waaaayyyy too far away.

Great addition to the series. Charlie's abilities get stronger, and her relationship with Reyes gets stronger. This book seems to go along at the same pace as 1-4, but it seemed to have more laugh out loud scenes.
There are a few authors that I won't wait for, I buy their books new. Darynda Jones is absolutely one of them.

This is the fifth book in the Charley Davidson series. Right now there are ten books in the series with the eleventh book (Eleventh Grave in Moonlight) expected to release in Jan 2017. These book just keep getting better and better. I absolutely loved this book and could not stop listening to it! This review will have some spoilers if you haven't read the previous books in the series.

I listened to this on audiobook and the audiobooks for this series have been fantastic. King does an awesome job of sounding just like I imagine Charley would. She also does great with other character voices and with portraying emotion. This is one of my favorite book series to listen to on audiobook.

With Reyes living down the hall from Charley things have really started to heat up between the two of them...in the physical realm this time. However, Charley gets distracted from this when the terrified ghosts of dead blond women start showing up in her apartment. When the number of dead women gets to the point where Charley can barely walk through her apartment Charley knows she has to figure out what is going on quickly.

We learn a lot more about what happened to Garrett Stokes in Hell in this book as well, which was nice. Additionally we find out a lot more truths behind what Charley and Reyes actually are and what their purpose is. Things are really starting to build and it looks like a supernatural war may be on the horizon.

There are so many awesome characters in this series; I enjoy reading about them all. I love the world and love how we keep learning more and more about the alternate world Charley is from.

The story continues to get more complex and interesting with each book. I love that there are individual mysteries solved in each novel and that there is also a larger story arc that is built on in each book...this my absolutely favorite type of urban fantasy to read.

Overall this was a fantastic addition to the series. This series just keeps getting better and better and shows no signs of slowing down. I would highly recommend to those who enjoy humorous urban fantasy with a lot of action. I absolutely love this series and can't wait to read the next book in it.

Just a normal day for Charley, case tosolve, her apartment overran with dead woman killed by a serial killer, an old frenemy from her childhood is back to stalk Calamity's bar with the new sexy cook. Charley will be tortured again from an irate clients piss off cheating spouse. But the bright side Ryes and Charley are committing.... there just so much going on this group of friends..
