I'm back! My DH's work schedule is maddening, for all of us, and trying to sew with a 2 yr old running around is not a good idea. So this weekend I took a break from the obligatory Sunday dinner and stayed home to sew! I made this cool purse organizer. It's a flat panel with pockets, and you load it up with all your purse stuff..pens, cell, PDA, hand sanitizer, calendar, etc. Roll it up and put in your purse. It's got interlining, so it's stiff and unwinds to fit your purse, with a space in the middle for a big wallet. Now changing my purses out isn't a job anymore! Just lift the organizer and my wallet and put in a new purse! My first one is crooked, but I'm so thrilled I made it that I've been scribbling handbag ideas and big/little bag organizer ideas since Sunday. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j119/Mistry_2006/012.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j119/Mistry_2006/013.jpg

Thanks, Kim, I was so calm and relaxed it was like a little mini vacation. Of course, the fact that I threaded the machine, wound my own bobbin and nothing caught, broke, tore or tried to attack me meant so much! LOL I was happy with the material I found, I loved the colors. And my cousin gave my DD a little purse for her birthday, I'm going to try to copy it with the scraps I have left over. I'm so happy to be having fun with it again. |
