I sympathise - I'm looking for a book for a friend, and it's a very expensive, older book.

You never know -- DH was looking for a used paperback that sells on Amazon marketplace for $50 or more and I found one at a church jumble sale for 50 cents.  I didn't know about the rarity of the book at the time or I might have felt guilty about getting it for so little $$, given that the $$ was going to the church.

If you put it in on ABEBOOKS.com, four copies come up with the least expensive at $475.    (On their "advanced search" area).  That's where I check for all obscure books etc.

I sympathise. I'm looking for a book entitled: "Highland Rogue" by Daniel Defoe. You'd think a book by such a famous author would be readily available, guess again! I swear it must not have been published in the US. Making it hard for me to find.

Anyway, I will keep an eye out for your book. I think I can remember the title easy enough. And if I find it for A LOT LESS than $500 it will be yours!
