Sandy McLean's life changes the moment he meets Sophie. French, sophisticated and beautiful, she is a model at the local art school - a glamorous world away from Sandy's treaning to become a surgeon. So when Sandy rescues her from the unwelcome advances of a drunk, he hopes it is the start of something special.
But the more Sandy gets to know Sophie, the more complicated his life becomes. Sandy dreams of becoming an artist in Paris - against the wishes of his father - and when Sophie agrees to pose for him, it sets him on a direct collision course with his family. And though Sandy wants Sophie to be morn than just his muse, her past makes a normal relationship all but impossible.
