Finding Home is a pleasant, quick read that involves a widowed single mother, Cindy Peterson, whos been working overtime at a local historical society. This leaves her 11 year old son Jarrod opportunity to get into trouble, which he does when he goes to a construction site at night. There he meets gruff but lovable construction manager Scott Walsh, who warns Jarrod off the site.
Cindy and Scott get together by means of Scotts aging grandmother, who is related to one of the towns founders. Scott finds a treasure trove of antiques in her attic and offers them to Cindy for a display at the historical society. This leads to them reading through the love letters that Scotts ancestors wrote to each other as they draw closer together. It also leads to a lovely scene at the grand opening of the historical societys display with Scotts familys antiques and relics. I wont spoil it, but it was a lovely scene in an otherwise formulaic book.
