Some of the most interesting reads I pick up come about because of the reading challenges I undertake. This was one of them. The author was a wildlife filmaker for Disney and a lecturer for the Audubon Society. Constantly in search of wildlife for the Lassie series, he filmed many animals which were appropriate for a children's series including otters, prairie dogs and wild cats. In addition, he includes episodes from his personal life that include birds such as owls, ravens and red tailed hawks as well as experience filming special environmental areas. It's fascinating reading and one of the most entertaining reads I've had in some time.
This is a really interesting older book about a wildlife photographer who also raises, trains, and provides wild animals for use in films.
