the plot was very original and there are intriguing secondary characters. This book was well on its way to being a five star, BUT...after a great build-up of sexual tension between the main characters throughout the whole story, Tanner glosses over what should have been a very tender love scene at the end, and there is no payoff for the reader's emotional commitment to the pair.
