I couldn't put this book down. Wonderful characters and a beautiful story. The amount of love that comes across in this book will fill you for weeks. The love triangle between the Scottish boy she grew up with and the Englishman she meets provides for some gut wrenching emotion. Saying good-bye to her home in the glen left me bawling. This is definitely a keeper. Block yourself off when you read this book as you won't want to put it down. Remember the Kleenex.

This was the second Julie Moffett book I read, the first one (A touch of Fire) being so good! This book does not have the degree of spunky character conflict of the first novel, but it is still a good read.

From the back cover: "For Alana MacKenzie, life in the majestic Scottish Highlandswas filled with the joy of watching her childhood friendship with Malcolm MacGregor grow into a deep, mystical love. But that love would be forever threatened the day the stranger arrived.

Burned once by love, broodingly handsome Nathaniel Beauchamp had no intention of again falling victim to its heartaches. So when he desired the radiant Alana, he vowed to have her on his own terms.

Before she knew it, Alana found herself trapped in a marriage of convenience with the arrogant Nathaniel. And yet even as she struggled to adjust to her new life, Alana would make the surprising discovery that love can sometimes blossom in the most unexpected places."
