From Amazon:

Lots of people hear voices in their heads, but for Sarah Dundee, the voice is a smart-alecky dog named Spot. With the help of her canine alter ego, Sarah writes outdoor-equipment reviews for a hiking magazine. Sarah's passion is saving Pear Island's wildlife reserve from Logan Donnelly, who wants to build a second airfield there. An unexpected offer from Natural Spaces, a national magazine out of New York, gives Sarah a higher salary, a chance to cover the entire New England area, and a soapbox for her cause. However, Sarah is going to need to go to lots of remote places, and get there quickly. She decides that flying a plane would be her best mode of transportation. Unfortunately, the closest flight instructor is the same man Sarah can't stand--Logan Donnelly. Bradford's debut romance is brisk and sassy.
