This is an urban novel that portrays the ups and downs of an urban girl that has to grow up and face things that is becoming all too common in our society. This novel's main character Tracy Ellis has a lot to learn while growing up in Philadelphia. This book follows her life and the lives of her neighbors that are sisters, Mercedes and Raheema. Each takes a different journey in life and learns some hard lessons along the way. I really enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading the sequel For the Love of Money.
