I wanted to like it! Got it from the dollar store, so no great loss there. But by the time I hit the half way point, I had my fill of the author trying to justify her parent's choices, her choices, and the same details hashed over and over just written in a different way. yes, you had a hard life. yes you had to make difficult decisions. but page after page of declaring WHY you chose to do it got yawn boring.
The details of her single mother life- not having enough money for bills, to meeting a man, and then jet setting off to Cozumel? and then the house you purchased really put a strain on your budget, even though it has a pool, and you want me to feel sorry for you?
The details did not mesh for a sympathetic character.
Hope someone else enjoys it more than I did- I gave up, which I don't normally do! after three quarters of the way.
