This is a medical mystery and a political thriller wrapped up in one. Extremely good book. I could not put it down. Outcome is surprising.

Medical suspense .... was a little hard to get into, but after the first couple of chapters, I couldn't put it down. Lots of intricate details that reall add to the story!

This book is so complicated I can't really summarize it. It has many twists and turns; it's both legal and medical based; discusses prochoice and prolife viewpoints. I did not figure it out at all. It's long and complex but well worth the read.

Slow start. Not sure about the "page turning" description. Current premise for our times, outside my normal whodunit. Would consider other books by this author as an alternative.

Not my cup of tea. While I love most medical thrillers (Cook, Palmer et. al) and some political mysteries, I found this one to be very off-putting. Way too much lengthy detail that I found tedious. Would not read more by this author.

from amazon...
Mining the emotional cauldron of abortion rights, this superbly crafted medical thriller deftly probes every conceivable angle through characters that would seem cliched if they weren't so visible in today's headlines. Pottinger lays out his riveting debut on a vast canvas, topping it off with a brazen plot twist virtually guaranteed to thrill some readers, and appall others, but leave no one unmoved.
