From my 7 yr old to this 51 yr old grandmother,we all read this book and enjoyed the message that is shared within the pages. A wonderful story to help explain the story of slavery and the Underground Railroad and how it helped to save so many slaves lives. Very touching story that can lead to a discussion with youngsters about this dark period of history. I highly recommend it!

This is the exciting story of the Underground Railway, and the greedy, ruthless slave-catchers who patrol its vital freedom crossing into Canada. It is also about Laura, a proud girl caught up in a very dangerous mission.
Cover a bit worn, though not badly by any means. Absolutely readable.
My 11 yr. old son had to read this for school and ended up really enjoying it!
