Interesting premise for a storyline; the development of a prostitute in Napoleonic times. This could have been a fabulous bestseller if the author had done some more research into the era, but its just a rough draft of what it could have been. Development of character, motivation, emotion - all have been left out; even the sex scenes are straightforward and perfunctory. Even the 'happy ending' seems rushed & forced. Oh well, maybe you'll get more out of it than I did.
